Privacy Policy

This policy explains what AI Shorts Creator (“we”, “us”) collects when you use https://www.aishortscreator.com, why we collect it, and what happens to the videos you upload. If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected].
What we collect
- Account data. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and a user id. We generate a display name for public clips. We do not receive your Google password.
- Uploaded videos. The video files you upload for clipping, stored under a random, unlisted object name in our media storage.
- Derived content. The transcript of your upload, the clip windows and titles chosen from it, and the finished shorts, poster frames and thumbnails we render.
- Usage and billing data. Credit balances, job history, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, and basic technical logs (timestamps, error messages). We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, cookie-free page analytics.
AI Data Processing
Our service sends your text, images, video, and other input to third-party AI platforms for processing. These platforms currently include Google, OpenAI, and Replicate. Specifically: the audio track of your upload is sent to OpenAI for transcription, the resulting transcript is sent to OpenAI for moderation and for choosing highlight windows, and poster frames of finished shorts are sent to OpenAI for image moderation. Files are stored on Google Cloud. These providers process the data under their own terms and do not use API inputs to train their models under the agreements we use. We do not sell your content or your transcripts.
How long we keep things
- Uploaded source videos are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload, whether or not a job used them.
- Finished shorts, poster frames and thumbnails stay in your library until you delete them or your account.
- Transcript excerpts attached to each short are deleted with the short.
- Billing records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Public and private content
Shorts are private by default. If you set a short to public it appears on its own page and in the public clips feed with your display name. You can switch it back to private or delete it at any time. Content that fails moderation, or that is reported by several people, is made private automatically. Uploaded source videos are never public.
Payments
Checkout and card handling run through Stripe; card numbers never reach our servers. What Stripe collects at checkout is covered by Stripe’s own policy.
Your choices
- Delete any short from your library at any time.
- Email us to delete your account and all associated data.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions from the billing portal linked on the pricing page.
Children
AI Shorts Creator is built for adult creators. We do not aim the service at anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly keep data about them.
Changes
When our practices change we rewrite this page and move the date at the top. Using the service after a change counts as accepting the new version. See also our terms of service.
