What the look does
Each beat is drawn as a single hand-drawn style cel with vivid colour and expressive light, and the narrator is asked to sound like the opening narration of an adventure. The caption highlight is a pale sky blue that sits well on bright frames.
Topics that suit it
Anything with a sense of journey or wonder plays to the look’s strengths.
- Journeys and climbs, real or imagined.
- Everyday science told as a small adventure.
- Folklore and legends with a hero at the centre.
- Personal milestones: a first day, a long-awaited trip, a project finally finished.
Stills or motion
With stills, each frame holds on screen while the camera pushes in or drifts across it, which keeps the hand-drawn feel. With motion, every frame is animated into a few seconds of AI video, at 40, 55 or 70 credits depending on length. Motion takes longer to render and gives the frames life; stills are cheaper at 15 credits and often all a story needs.
Neighbouring looks
Comic Panel swaps the soft shading for ink, halftone dots and loud colour, with a narrator who keeps teasing the next page. Vaporwave goes pastel and chrome for a late-night, nostalgic mood. Low Poly keeps the bright palette but builds everything from faceted shapes.
